ARTIST BIO

Julie Budarick is an emerging artist, working in acrylics, ink and watercolour. She has studied under professional artists including Tracy Vandepeer, Bob Landt and Neil ‘Shep’ Sheppard.

Her works are held in private collections in Australia and Canada.

“Art has been a passion of mine since a very young age. Expressing myself using words in the written and verbal form never came easy, preferring instead to communicate the true me through my drawing and painting. With the demands of a busy life filled with work and family now easing behind me, I now have more time to spend enjoying my creative ventures.

Art has been a therapy for me, helping me in my healing journey and giving me added strength to face the challenges associated with health issues. Joining a local art group was cathartic and rekindled my passion for all things creative.  I find joy in retreating to my art space and devoting time to my creative endeavours.

I have met lots of amazing artists and Teachers and am enjoying learning all sorts of techniques. The wonder of pen and ink, abstract realism with acrylics and the subtlety of watercolours are just some of the mediums that entice me.

My art teacher encouraged me to join the Royal South Australian Society of Arts in 2014. This has opened my eyes to what is possible if you put your mind to it. I have exhibited in several Members Exhibition

I have also exhibited in the Clare Rotary art show since 2013 SALA (South Australian Living Artists) Exhibition since 2015 and been part of the Art @ Auburn Gallery.

I am so looking forward to amazing things that are evolving in the next chapter of my creative life.”
