ARTIST BIO

I was born at Red Cliffs where my family owned a driedvine fruit and citrus property. Drawing was always a favourite pastime and art a special subject at school. I started painting seriously with Lance Mcneill about 28 years ago. He was a traditional realist painter who visited several times a year. I have attended workshops with Ross Paterson and Max Wilks also Jeff Wright.

I am an active member of Mildura Art Group and Painters of the Plains, Ivanhoe NSW. My Main mentor has been Jan Lawler of Balranald who has helped me in many aspects of traditional painting.

I have been the winner of numerous awards and have paintings hanging in Mildura Council Offices and private collections. I have presented my work in solo and group Exhibitions. I recently have had a joint exhibition with Jan Lawler at Gallery 25, Deakin Avenue Mildura.
